About

AADownUnder is group of men and women who suffer from the disease of alcoholism. Through their experiences, they have come to believe that the program of Alcoholics Anonymous is their only chance to arrest the disease and become productive members of society. They come together regularly to meet on the world wide web to hold AA Meetings in accordance with the 12 steps and 12 traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous as laid out in the text, Alcoholics Anonymous.

Group members and participants are a mixture of people who attend offline meetings and those who are incapable of attending meetings outside of their home. The group comes from all parts of the world and their common goal is to remain sober and to pass the message of hope along to others. In accordance with the 7th Tradition, the group is fully self supporting and declines outside contributions. The group does not take a collection during the meetings and declines contributions from its membership. There are no dues or fees and any person who identifies as an alcoholic may attend these meetings.

The group meets regularly every day at 5:30 pm Pacific time (Los Angeles), 8:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (New York), 11:30 PM Australian Time (Sydney) or 1:30 AM London Time. For time conversion from your area to these major time zones in the world please visit google to search for a time conversion system. Every Thursday there is a speaker meeting and the recordings of past speakers will be available at no charge on this website.
